FAQ's
Can I cut directly on my new worktop?
Whilst your worktop is unlikely to be damaged by this, we would advise against cutting directly on your worktop, as it is likely to cause damage to your knives over time. We recommend using a dedicated cutting board.
How much will my upgrades cost?
Each installation is bespoke, so we would advise you to contact our team to discuss your needs.
Are your products natural?
Marble, granite and stone are all 100% natural surface options.
What is honed granite?
Honed granite means the material has not been polished to a shine. It is great for those looking for a more natural look. Please note, it can be more susceptible to staining.
Is my surface unbreakable?
Following regular use your granite, marble or quartz surface should be incredibly durable. Very heavy and/or fast impacts can chip or crack the surface. Small to medium chips can often be repaired.
My granite has lines running across it. Is this normal?
As a natural product granite can often have puts and veins running through it. This adds to its beauty and makes each piece unique. They do not affect the durability of the piece.
Is marble suitable for kitchens?
Whilst marble is durable and stylish, it can be more porous and is softer than other materials, making it susceptible to staining and scratching. We would advise that – if you do choose marble – that it should be thoroughly sealed and resealed when needed.
How long does it take for our new worktops to be installed?
Our normal turnaround from survey to installation is 7-10 working days. This may increase during busy periods.
How much do stone worktops cost?
What is the difference between Granite and Quartz?
- Granite is natural, unique, and extremely heat-resistant
- Quartz is engineered, low-maintenance, and more consistent in colour
- The “better” option depends on lifestyle and design preference.

Cleaning
As with any busy home kitchen, dirt, spills and food stains are a constant risk. Thankfully, the materials we use are incredibly durable, and can often be cleaned with simply a soft cloth or sponge and warm water and mild soap. A microfibre cloth can be used to dry the surface.
For tougher stains and limescale, a baking soda and water mix can be effective.
Marble can be more porous, which is why we may suggest alternative materials if you want to upgrade your kitchen worktops. At the very least, we would recommend sealing your marble.
Polishing
A shiny worktop is a happy worktop. Regular polishing and sealing can help preserve the finish, and protect your worktop form staining and scratches.
Use a high-quality polish and cloth to buff the surface in a circular motion. Wipe with a dry cloth to remove excess polish.
Sealing
Sealing your worktop is a great way to add extra protection to the surface. Depending on the material you have chosen and how often it is utilised, this should be completed once every 1-3 years.
We are more than happy to advise on your specific worktop.
